College to hold electronics recycling on Thursday | education
The Environment and Safety Committee of Jefferson College and Jefferson County are partnering with the Midwest Recycling Center to host an electronics recycling event on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Hillsboro campus in the yellow parking lot near the Veterans Memorial and Fine Arts Building.
All electronics and devices are accepted. MRC accepts everything electronic, even if it is defective. Only thermostats and light bulbs are not accepted. A list of all articles accepted free of charge can be found at https://mrcrecycling.net/list. Anyone who has to hand over objects should stay in their vehicle during the unloading process.
Articles subject to recycling fees (only cash payment possible):
All data, including hard drives, will be deleted and / or destroyed by MRC as part of the R2 certification. A Certificate of Destruction can be issued to anyone who requests it for $ 5 per item. Non-electronic items are also accepted for recycling, including paper, plastic, glass and cans.
