Panasonic EH-NA67 hair dryer review

One minute review

When it comes to hair products, Panasonic is one of the best-known brands on the market today. With over 80 years of experience, it’s no surprise the company can give salon brands like GHD and newcomers like Dyson a run for their money with tech-packed models available at a more affordable price.

The Panasonic EH-NA67 is the brand’s latest hair dryer that builds on the EH-NA65 with an oscillating quick-drying nozzle. The EH-NA67 reduces hot spots on the hair and scalp thanks to the even distribution of the air flow from the hair dryer.

Like the EH-NA65, the EH-NA67 uses “nanoe technology,” which allows tiny particles of water – which Panasonic claims to provide 1000 times more moisture than ions (another hair hydration technology) – to penetrate the hair cuticle to help Restore moisture balance and then reduce frizz and heat damage.

As such, the EH-NA67 has the same unusual design as the EH-NA65, with a nanoe vent that forms a hump on top of the barrel – it reminds us of the cockpit area on the exterior of an airplane.

Like its predecessor, the hairdryer has four temperature levels, three speed levels and a cool shot function. The 2000W hair conditioner also comes with a diffuser and concentrator nozzle along with the quick-drying nozzle so you can create anything from bouncy curls to sleek, sleek curls.

Priced at $ 149.99 / £ 99.99, the Panasonic EH-NA67 is a mid-range hair care device that can dry hair quickly while still maintaining shine and reducing frizz for less than similar models from GHD and Dyson. If you are on a budget it is certainly worth considering.

Panasonic EH-NA67 Price and Availability

  • List price: $ 149.99 / £ 99.99

The Panasonic EH NA67 is priced at $ 149.99 / £ 99.99 and is available in the US and UK from Panasonic and online retailers such as Amazon.

As mentioned earlier, Panasonic also offers the EH-NA65, which is equipped with a quick-drying nozzle that does not oscillate. This model is available worldwide and costs $ 99.99 / £ 69.99 / AU $ 229.99.

  • Unusual design
  • Four temperature and three speed levels
  • Comes with three attachments

As already mentioned, the unusual design of the Panasonic EH-NA67 with a hump on the top of the shaft is a relatively bulky hair care device with the dimensions 23 x 9 x 20 cm (H x W x D). However, it weighs 1.2 lb / 547 g, which is lighter than we expected. In fact, when drying shoulder length hair, we had no arm pain at all.

As with the predecessor, the hump on the barrel was accentuated as a design feature in a different color, but this time in a cool gold tone instead of a rose gold tone.

The hair dryer offers 2000 W power in Great Britain as well as four temperature settings and three speed levels. The US model, however, comes with only three temperature settings, two speed settings and is 1875 W. Both versions have a cool-shot button that delivers a cold blast of air to determine your style.

The Panasonic EH-NA67 comes with three attachments: a concentrator nozzle, a diffuser and an oscillating “quick-drying” nozzle. The latter has a plastic section inside the nozzle that swings from side to side to ensure an even distribution of the airflow. This prevents a single area of the scalp from overheating and being scalded. Those who don’t have a mirror next to an electrical outlet can use the EH-NA67’s 2.7m power cord to dry their hair and see what they’re doing. Plus, the hanging loop often found on salon hair dryers is an added bonus.

  • Nanoe technology ensures shiny hair
  • Fast drying times
  • Reduces hot spots on the scalp

Fortunately, the Panasonic EH-NA67 lived up to its claims of how fast it dries hair. With the hair dryer on the hottest temperature and the fastest speed setting, we were able to bring fine hair below shoulder length from damp to completely dry in 3 minutes and 34 seconds. Drying the hair on the lowest temperature setting increased this time by 1 minute and 34 seconds.

Attaching the quick-drying nozzle and using the hair dryer on the fastest and hottest setting reduced the drying time by an additional 30 seconds. In addition, we certainly did not feel any excessive heating of our scalp during the drying process due to the oscillating nozzle. However, the rocking motion caused the hairdryer to jerk slightly in the hand. We also found that the length of the nozzle that was added to the hairdryer meant we had to hold it further away from our hair than usual, which was a bit uncomfortable.

At all settings, the hair looked shiny and sleek, with very few strands flying away. Overall, the EH-NA67 was comfortable to hold in both the left and right hands (we switched hands depending on which side of the head was being styled). However, since the hair dryer is identical to the EH-NA65, we accidentally pressed the cool shot button several times when adjusting the handle of the device to dry the hair roots.

In terms of noise, the EH-NA67 registered 76 dB on our decibel meter at the fastest speed setting. This puts it in the middle of the field for loud hair care devices and corresponds to the noise of a vacuum cleaner. However, since it is only likely to be on for a few minutes at a time, it doesn’t bother too much.

Thanks to the removable filter, the hairdryer is also easy to keep free of dust and lint.
